CHRONIC INFLAMMATION
Chronic Inflammation is when your body is in a constant state of stress, which can lead to negative impacts on your tissues and organs. Inflammation, in general, refers to your body’s method of fighting against things that harm it, such as infections, injuries, and toxins in an attempt to heal itself. When something begins to damage your cells, your body releases chemicals that trigger a response from your immune system. Antibodies, proteins, and increased blood flow are sent to the damaged area. When the response lingers, this is considered Chronic Inflammation, which can also lead to scar tissue formation.
